You will be spoilt with 4 star luxury accommodation in a traditional South African hut, with private accommodation and private bathroom and best of all wildlife right at your doorstep! 

Held at the beautiful Cradle Moon lodge located in the heart of the African bush-veld amidst the rocky hills within the Cradle of Humankind, a Unesco world heritage site which boasts a pool, training space, 32 hectare lake, 2 restaurants, game drives, boat cruises and other activities and over 50 kilometres of mountain biking and running trails. 

 

The animals roam free on the property so, don’t be alarmed if a herd of Zebra come and have a little drink of water while you are relaxing in the pool or you cross paths with a giraffe on your way back to your room. 

The game lodge is home to over 20 species of wild animals, including rhino, Giraffe, Leopard, Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Duiker, Impala, Springboks, Blesboks, Brown Hyena, Jackal and Aardwolf. 

 

The Training space has breathtaking views of the lake which is also home to a family of Hippo and is often visited by Giraffe and Zebra’s, Monkeys, Springboks and many of the other animals mentioned above.

 

This is an exclusive aerial retreat capped to 6 Aerialists only. There will Aerial hammock and silks classes in the morning followed by all the exciting excursions in the afternoon. 

 

This is not a boot camp style retreat where we focus on leaning one trick after another, but rather sequences that flow beautifully together where you can bring out the dancer in you and perform your moves with flair, grace, style and confidence. 

 

We will be focusing on aerial choreography, act creation, stage performance techniques, musicality, floor to air and tips on how to connect with and captivate your audience. 

 

Classes will include sequences, locks, spins and drops (for those who are comfortable with drops) but most importantly, working on the important moments in between, like how to dance your wraps, create gorgeous lines and utilise every part of your body in your aerial movements, making the simplest of moves look impressive and using the fabric as an extension of your body and aerial moves. 

There will be fun and creative exercises that unleash your creative powers, working with your own unique style and flair, whether it is to help you create an aerial routine or to simply just feel more confident in the air. 

 

We will also be preparing you for your aerial shoot, giving you tips and techniques on how to get the most out of looking great in your photographs with effective sequences and poses that look striking.

 

This retreats is for all levels. Because it is focused on creativity, we will work with your own aerial repertoire. There are sequences to suit all levels. You do not need to be a dancer to join this retreat. This is a safe space of no judgement where we can really get creative, be inspired and have fun!
